Plans to develop Downtown Southington got a huge boost recently, with comparisons drawn to nearby West Hartford Center. This is a fantastic opportunity for the town of Southington, CT.
Here are the details: The Greenway Commons project $50 million plan calls for 263 owner-occupied residential units and 22,000 square feet of downtown retail space on the 14-acre site of the vacant Ideal Forging complex on Center Street. However, the new complex may have the biggest effect on the business community.
Downtown shops, eateries, and business owners are looking forward to the increased foot traffic, open space, and what it means for their businesses- AND SO AM I!
I am very passionate about downtown revitalization. West Hartford did a magnificent job with their Blue Back Square. Southington is next with Greenway Commons!
