Last Monday was my daughter’s 6^th birthday. She had decided that she wanted to go bowling on her birthday, so Charlie Lanza’s Lakewood Lanes was the logical choice.

As a matter of fact, Charlie Lanza’s  Lakewood Lanes  was the only choice.

On September 5, 1959, Charlie Lanza opened up  Lakewood Lanes in Waterbury, CT for local area residents to enjoy a bowling venue that was away from the hustle and bustle of downtown. Today, Charlie Lanza’s  Lakewood Lanes is the only bowling alley in the Greater Waterbury area, and this weekend is celebrating 50 years of serving the Waterbury area.

 Lakewood Lanes, located at 694 Lakewood Road in Waterbury, CT, has arcade games and a full service food court for bowling leagues and individual/party bowlers.
