The World Can Be Your Oyster -- Marketing Your Home Across the Seven Seas

Ring Microsoft customer service and you will be speaking with someone in India. Unwrap the Power Rangers action figures in the box under the Christmas tree and you'll likely find that it was made in China. So was your iPhone. The homegrown Ford that you drive may have been assembled in Detroit, but likely has parts from a dozen countries around the globe.

International boundaries are spanned by the internet and people around the world frequently communicate for free in real-time. Brian - I know this may sound peculiar, but I had never really thought about this concept and advantage of marketing overseas.  You're right though and it's probably not a bad idea to have some Mortgage Folks with knowledge of Foreign National Financing as well.  Excellent post by the way!

Great post!  The web is excellent for reaching overseas buyers.  We have been selling to them for years from our Atlanta real estate website.  We have sold homes to those in Japan, Italy, France, Northern Ireland, England and so many more.  They tend to buy upper end properties, and are very appreciative of our assistance!

Brian Great Post and so so true right here in South Florida. The only type of property I would tell clients that maybe hard to finance in Condo-Tels right now.  However, with enough $$$ down anything can be financed

Ive been marketing in Canada...thats where we are getting business from buyers willing to pay cash and close quick...good source of business at this time with the strong dollar.

Brian - You know how much of a fan I am of internet marketing. The interent holds even greater value for those who are from other countries. RE/MAX of course is the international leader and as you mention and at the top of the list for Real Estate traffic. We both know that many are reading are blogs from other countries as well :)

NEAL:  It amazes me to think about Canada.  I went there on my honeymoon in 2001 and the Canadian dollar was about 70 cents U.S.  Now there dollar is ahead.  I'm sure that many of those Canadians are enjoying their new homes or vacation homes in South Florida.
