Hello Folks,
Went out to Barefoot Beach this evening to watch the sunset and get a little exercise walking the beach. Here are a few pictures from this evening visit.....
This first picture is of a Sea Turtle's nest which has been protected. It is not uncommon for communities along the gulf coast to have volunteer groups that patrol the beach early each morning looking for fresh Turtle nests. When found they tape off the nest and put a screen over it to protect the eggs from Raccoons and other animals. Sea Turtle nesting season starts the first of May.
Below is a Fiddler Crab. Our beaches in Southwest Florida do not have many of these.
