It doesn't matter if you're in a one horse town or a giant metropolis... you're bound to have at least one Jewish person on your Rolodex....
Now while a huge number of people are lining up at the Malls with the kiddos to get pictures with a big fluffy bunny... and others in Miami Shores are catching marshmallows being dropped by helicopters...
the Jewish communities around the world are preparing for Passover.
This is the holiday that commemorates Moses freeing the slaves in Egypt and taking them to the Promised Land.
During this Holiday, Jewish people around the world abstain from foods with leavening as the Jewish slaves in Egypt left in such a rush that they did not have time to let their breads proof and rise.
Now that you know a little about the holiday, think about your list of clients, contacts, etc... and send an ecard - or call and wish them a Happy Passover!
When you get asked to lunch or coffee... remember not to choose a place where there are too many leavened choices like pizza, or asian food... stick to some good simple fare like salads, baked potatoes and simple proteins and show your Jewish colleagues you understand that we all have our Faith and respect each other for it.

Hey David,
You just became my official Jewish guru when I have questions about the beliefs. I used call my friend Jen but for the most part she doesn't know the answers and she tells me to call her mother. Get ready for it, cause whenever I am curious or need to know something- you are the man!
