1-800-GOT-JUNK? Gives Away $3,000+ in Services in 2008

It should come as no surprise that 2008 was a busy year for us in terms of our charitable activities here in Palm Beach County. We donated over $3,000 in gift certificates to various organizations for their auctions, including the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, the Lynn Cancer Institute at Boca Raton Community Hospital, Morikami Park Foundation and many others. We also donated our trucks and labor to haul away junk left over from a Girl Scouts yard sale.

As a business owner, I've found that working with charities is a great way to give back to the communities we serve and expand public awareness about our service. I cannot begin to tell you how many times people have stopped me at a store or at a networking event to tell me that they heard about 1-800-GOT-JUNK? at a charity event. It feels great to know that our efforts are recognized and appreciated.

As area companies prepare for what appears to be an economically challenging 2009, let's not forget the charities that survive on our collective gifts and efforts. Helping them helps you.

If you work with a charity in Boca Raton, Delray Beach, Boynton Beach or West Palm Beach and have an annual charity ball and auction, please let me know and we'll be happy to help out.
