challenging real estate marketThe Bradenton, Sarasota, Manatee County, and Sarasota County Real Estate market has certainly been 'stormy' in the past couple of years... for both home sellers and real estate professionals! A market saturated by short sales and foreclosure properties has resulted in high inventory levels and declining property values.  Challenging would be an understatement! 

Don't fret!!  We may be in for a brighter future soon!   Sarasota, Florida, was cited insunny days ahead this recent article as being the 'Best Buy for Real Estate in the Western World.'  With supportive news like this... we could see increased activity from an 'investor market' standpoint which would then help revive real estate values due to the 'supply and demand' theory and also due to the fact that investors (both domestic and foreign)  would be buying up a lot of the 'short sale' and 'foreclosure' homes, properties and inventory; thereby reducing the inventory levels of these 'distressed property' types and clearing the way for us all to enjoy 'traditional' Real Estate sales again!

Given the all the 'negative' news that has been reported  for Bradenton, Sarasota, Manatee County, and Sarasota County, Real Estate values, and compounded by the most recent fiasco with the BP oil catastrophe... this is encouraging information!

If you're a Bradenton, Sarasota, Manatee County, or Sarasota County, home seller and you've been discouraged after trying to sell your home in this challenging time and market... ask yourself these hard questions if you want or need to sell your home:

  1. Am I being realistic with my expectation of what my home is worth?
  2. Is my home's condition competitive with other homes that are in my neighborhood or area.  (Inventory levels are still favorable to buyers right now so your home needs to be in good condition or priced accordingly if it's not.)
  3. Did my last REALTOR have an aggressive and comprehensive marketing plan that included a mix of print advertising, internet lead generation and advertising, social network advertising, open houses, and sphere of influence marketing?
