These photos are the Space Shuttle Discovery blasting off today as seen from Cocoa Village in Brevard County Florida. We had a dilemma trying to decide where to view the space shuttle launch from.
Even though we have been watching launches since the early 1960's, we still get excited watching them today. The space shuttle can be seen from most places in Brevard County, but today we were in a hurry.
Discovery Takes Off With Perfect Weather and Was Spectacular To Watch From Cocoa Village
Running out of time, we stopped at 200 Brevard Avenue in Cocoa Village. There are many benefits in having a commercial real estate listing in Brevard County, and this was one of those times. As you can see from the photos, we had a perfect spot to watch Discovery make history again.
Imagine Watching These Launches From Your Office Window In Cocoa Village, Florida
The n
ew buyers of the commercial property for sale at 200 Brevard Avenue will be able to see the launches at Kennedy Space Center from inside the office! What a great added benefit to the 60,000 plus cars that drive by this property every day! If that is not enough, we turned south and the brand new addition to the Cocoa Village Playhouse can be seen nearing completion! What a wonderful blend of old and new history, all in the same place!

Denise glad you had a beautiful day for Saturday's shuttle launch. I heard it was supposed to go up around 5 p.m. from family. I saw every one of the Apollo rockets launched when growing up but on all my visits back to Brevard I always miss the shuttle launch. When I used to live in Orlando I could see the Gemini launches from over there. The Apollo 17 was the coolest. It was multiple times delayed and went up at night and was like the sun over the Indian River. There was nothing like the roar of a Saturn V engine. It shook all the sliding glass doors. Awesome. Great post highlighting Cocoa Village and the commercial properties.
Thank you Gary, for such a kind comment! Yes, the night launches are even more awesome! Having lived here, I know you understand how it never gets boring. Today, while we were watching, it seemed a though everybody in the area stooped an watched. That kind of community dedication is really cool to see. Thanks and take care.
Denise,
Those are some beautiful photos and such a wonderful day for a space shuttle launch.

Denise: How cool is it that you're THERE to watch history in the making?! I was just commenting on LaNita Cates post about watching the shuttle--she's there on vacation! Maybe the two of you could meet while she's there! (She's another favorite of mine!)
Great tie-in with the commercial property and the location / shuttle visibility!
Hi Don, thanks for checking it out! It was a wonderful day for a launch, one we do not take for granted. Take care!
Hi Debe, Thanks! It is so cool to be here and watch these launches, especially since we have been watching them before we knew what they were! I would love to meet anyone that is a favorite of yours. I hope she is having a good time. Thanks for the compliments and take care.
Denise- I love to watch the shuttle launch. My uncle worked as an engineer at NASA for over 30 years. He just retired. That is one great listing you have there! And what a great place to work and see the shuttle!
Denise, as I was talking with friends in Brevard County Sunday I mentioned your pictures of the Shuttle launch from Saturday afternoon. It was so cool, I had already seen your pictures and knew what the weather was like from your blog. Keep us all posted on your backyard. You're doing great!
Katerina, thank you so much!
Gary, thank you! Our backyard is cooking, and I know yours is too. Take care.
Awesome way to blog about a current event and pull in aspects of real estate. Great job!
Bobby, thank you so much for the awesome comment! It is indeed an honor hear that from you. Thanks and take care.

This is one of those bucket list items for me, I would love to be in Florida to watch a shuttle launch. One day and hopefully soon!
Hi Todd, no matter how many we see, they are still unbelievable. If you ever get down this way, let me know and I can show you the best places to watch. Thanks!
