Having spent my early childhood up in Storrs Connecticut, I am SO happy that my parents moved me down to Florida the summer before third grade!
When I was in my early twenties, I moved to Germany for 17 years and loved it there although I DID suffer through the Winter months.
Now if somebody says I should go ANYWHERE north when it is cold I just laugh. I understand why more and more people are moving to our beautiful state and why so many choose Florida as a retirement destination. Snow? WHO NEEDS IT?
