The town is full of locals and visitors alike who are here to see the Daytona 500 Race. We have a sold out crowd thanks to some last minute ticket price cuts. The economy and such has had an effect on everyone. This past weeks race crowds seemed almost non existent to this local. Traffic was sparse, stores were not full. Except, that is, for the supermarkets. Walmart and Publix were jammed with people who were eating in, hence the low turnout at local eateries. But today is a packed house, people spending money kind of day. Thanks to all of the fans who came out on this gray cloudy day. Rain is threatening yet everyone is optimistic. Good luck Drivers and Be safe.
