Built in 1911 the Clifford House, located on the shores of Lake Eustis, is an example of Neo-classical architecture and is constructed of Florida cypress.
Originally home to Guilford D. Clifford, one of the town's earliest settlers and businessmen, this Neo-classical house has 18 rooms, 6 fireplaces and over 4,500 square feet of living space.
Now owned by the City of Eustis, it serves as the headquarters for the Eustis Historical Museum and Preservation Society.
Clifford House was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1975.

What a great way to continue the legacy of a history home if it cannot continue being a single family residence. The second story porch is fantastic.
Brenda -- For an area that, in all reality, is young we have many historic homes and buildings that are recognized and preserved. Clifford House also has an original carriage house, not pictured here. (It will be featured in a future post.) I look forward to sharing more of these historical places.
