Since September, Flagler Beach's "Music in the Park" event has been a hit in Veterans Park on the first Friday of each month. January was no exception -- only this time, the event was held in a block party-style format with music and vendors lining up along South Central Avenue between 2nd and 3rd streets, where traffic was blocked off. Deejays from local radio station 92.7FM/The Beach were on hand to provide music, as was singer and pianist Warren Beck. Kids and adults also had the opportunity to compete in a box car race that took place in the City Hall parking lot.
Past months have included The US Navy Rock Band “Pride”, schile dip contests, a soap box derby an other great activities. Music in the Park will continue next month on Feb 3 from 6:00 to 9:00 pm. Be sure to check it out!
