You reap your ATTITUDE!

The old saying is..."You reap what you sow"...My new phrase is "You reap your ATTITUDE!"

Are you positive when you phone rings, albeit to your customer, client, or an agent calling you with questions about a listing you have?

Are you a genuinely positive agent?

Are you listening to the news, the media, or are you listening to youself (and your positive peers)?

Do you exude a positive attitude always?

Do you pretend - please say, "No"...People feel the negativity...

REAP POSITIVITY! It will come back to you ten fold!!!

Love what you do as a Realtor(R) or seek another profession...

There is no room for negativity in real estate...

Love it or leave it....JMO!

Happy selling, Happy listing, Happy thoughts my friends....

As always positive sales! K

Karen, I like the thought process, but it has to be tempered with market comprehension, which isn't always enthusiastically received.  As a consumer, I would want positive, as you recommend.  I would also expect reality, which would not be positive- and I'd want it presented with a cherry on top.  I'm hoping that we all find the happy medium!

Very true words for any business.  People pick up on it when you are not posative and then they become negative.

Laurie,

I have to tell you, I was visiting my parents ( 12/20-12/27), in that time period, I have had 3 calls (buyers) the day before Christmas and two the day after on properties that I have listed...So, I have 4 others waiting for the Holidays...two  homes to list tomorrow and those two are buying up....so...how can I think negatively...I never do...I guess that is why I'm still loving real estate...:-)

Who wants to work with someone who talks negative all of the time?  Great post.

Hi Karen,

Very nice post. For me personally...attitude is everything.

I like the old adage "Your attitude determines your altitude". And I have to admit, with severe Fibromyalgia, I have to WORK at keeping my attitude in check. But thank God for God =) HE is my source, my strength, my joy, my peace, etc. And He is what keeps me going when the going is extremely tough.

Sheri,

Thanks, I don't have time for negativity...life is too short...thanks for posting....stay tuned!

Attitude is everything.  I always try to look at the glass half full :). Great post!

Lynda,

Thank you, I feel the same way...thank you for the acknowledgement! Happy New Year!

Very good advice.  I hear some agents complain that there are no buyers.  My attitudeis that there still buyers out there, perhaps not as many this year.

Lisa,

I understand you GF! I am a Renal (kidney) Cancer Survivor 6 years .....I understand your pain as well as I also have arthritis....keep the faith, keep working and sending you Karma to feel well... :-)

Jim,

They are out there....just go out and exude a great attitude and they will FLOCK to you...there are so many uninformed or unintelligent agents that are listening to the media...When I meet people, I tell them that they can buy what they want, the market is not as bad as the media says, and I have a new buyer...IT'S ALL IN WHAT YOU SAY, YOUR ATTITUDE!  BE POSITIVE AND YOU WILL SELL! IF NOT CALL ME!

Amy,

Thank you for posting...I'm glad you agree. Glad to see your positive attitude...feel free to join my Singles with positive attitudes group...K

Behavior, no attitude.

William,

I'm OK with that...:-)

AMEN my friend on the attitude! It all goes back to the golden rule as well. Just common sense. I have never understood why some agents that don't like people EVER decided to get their license.

Happy New Year and may God RICHLY Bless you even more in the coming New Year!

Karen - Keeping a positive attitude makes all the difference. Granted, one must be realistic in one's approach to the market as it exists, but staying positive certainly helps everyone feel better about the message. In one of my blog posts I referred to a nameless radio personality who says something along the lines of "If there's a downturn in your industry, just choose not to participate in it."

Kathy,

My very good friend. Thank you for positing... Ditto your New Year right back at you! Thank you!

Ken,

Exactly, I love the: In one of my blog posts I referred to a nameless radio personality who says something along the lines of "If there's a downturn in your industry, just choose not to participate in it."

Karen, having read the comments and your responses, CONGRATULATIONS on your won battle- I think that it likely makes you an authority on attitude in more areas than just real estate.  My best wishes to you!

Laurie,

I don't protest to be an authority on positivity...however I do want it to be a contagious disease...as..I receive so many positive responses...which I thrive on...I want more than anything for people in general to look for a reason to be happy and to pray for the best...Thank you so much for your post...what you wrote back to me...keep's me going...thanks again, my friend!

I believe it takes a little more than a positive attitude.  But, I do agree its a start.

Kevin...positive attitudes, knowledge of our profession, and the love of helping mankind is what real estate is all about...in my opinion...

I agree the market is what it is...but the media has everything in a debacle...it isn't a debacle...there are plenty of buyers...I have many...because they love the positive attitude.

Happy New Year and thanks for posting. K
