Today I updated my social media statuses to: "Time goes by so fast, people go in/out of your life. You must never miss the opportunity to tell these people how much they mean to you" Last Saturday I attended the funeral of someone I went to High School with. He left this world with kids and a wife left behind. This is someone I really liked as a person but had not seen in several years. Then, Friday night, my girlfriend was in a car accident. She was driving down I-75 in the pouring rain when someone slammed on the breaks in front of her causing her to slam in her breaks and get hit from the back. That caused her to spin and hit a guard rail where she was inches away from a 15 foot drop. Both back tires came off her SUV and it is totalled but she walked away with a scratch.
The moral of the story is that life is what goes by while we hold grudges and worry about who is right and who is wrong. Stop those grievances you have been holding because they may make you RIGHT, they will rarely make you happy. Forgiveness is giving up on the idea that the past could have been any different.
