Lemon tree gone wild

Fort Myers Beach gardens always surprises me. A few years back I planted a citrus tree with my wife Karen. A lemon tree. The first year we got maybe six or so quite large lemons. Now on its third year these fruits are getting ridiculously large. Larger then an orange, as big as a medium grapefruit.

I wonder how big they will get next season? Nature never ceases to amaze me.

The real lemon is twice as large as this picture. And these citrus trees do not need much. Fort Myers Beach dirt is a sandy loam type of course. They taste good to. This fruit could garnish many gin or vodka tonics!
