I just wanted to bring to your attention that Gainesville was featured in a USAToday article on April 1st. it's not every day that Gainesville makes the national news (although it's not exactly a secret anymore either). It just so happens that we're featured on April Fool's Day, but I'm sure it's not a joke.
I can't help question the headline though, "Housing Market Stable In Gainesville, Fla." Stable apparently means: "sales of existing homes have slipped lately", "agents are starting to receive more offers", "sections of the metro area saw double-digit price increases". But I suppose Gville really is stable when compared to places like Las Vegas or Phoenix.
