When was the last time you made a list of goals and actually accomplished them?
Goals make life more exciting, more interesting, more fulfilling, and more challenging. It is the challenges that we face in life that makes us plan to come out of a shell, a rut, a stagnant poise.
Goals deliver us from feeling stuck in a world full of uncertainties - uncertainties that may have mirrored an oversight of opportunities that may have been knocking at our door yet have ignored the calling and failed to welcome or embrace.
Goals are about tenacity; it make us move forward, it allows freedom of mind, spirit, and action. Without action we cannot reach our goals.
What is a goal? A goal is a roadway, a path into the near future - a vision. We can make plans to do something but that differs from goals. A goal is a motivational tool that we can use to develop insecurities about the future. It assures us that the concept of ‘life is a journey, not a destination' is wisdom embedded in the mystery of life itself.
How can you improve your life to be rich and abundant in making wise choices full of positive goals? Goals are dreams, visions, plans, but you have to believe in yourself to get there. Goals give life more meaning, more sense, and more value.
To reach your goals you must journey through valleys, stumble against bumpy roads and blocks, crash into walls, and meet adversaries. The level of success of your goals lies in your strengths, your abilities to stay on your feet no matter how many times you stumble or how many times you fall.
Any failed goals in the past should be counted as a success for success cannot be ultimately reached without making mistakes. You have to walk before you run and taking the first step will ultimately take you there.
Goals can also be accomplished by how deeply rooted your desires are by keeping focused in what you want to accomplish; It compels you to do better for yourself. Goals are contagious; tell someone about it, or, someone recognizes your goals and they will follow suit. Nobody said that life was easy for if it was, then life on earth would be a boring place to live.
Goals subliminally constitute your character and how your perceive life, what you make out of it and how well you stick with them.
There are short term and long term goals. Each one will determine what your goals are for certain projects. By developing a timeline of the goals that you want to reach in the next 1 week, 1 month, 1 year, 5 years, or 10 years, you can mark the level of success of your goals by always coming back to that timeline and see how close you have come to the first steps and eventually till the last ones.
For example, let's say that you are planning a camping trip in the next six months. The first thing that you need to do is write a list of supplies in your timeline. The list should consist of the things that you will need for the trip such as gear, meals, clothes, the condition of your car if you plan to drive to your destination and/or your rental car. Planning is essential in successfully achieving your goals.
You can be spontaneous for certain things but if you really want to peruse timing in your goals, then planning them correctly holds the key to your success in the journey to your goals.
The same princeples are for buying a home. Make sure that you start with cleaning up your credit if you have any negative strikes, planning your finances, i.e., getting your tax returns ready, paystubs intact, make sure that you have been with the same employer for the past two years; this will help you with employment longetivity and bank statement stability.
You can help yourself by planning. cultivating a business relationship, and consulting with a Realtor. A Realtor can save you a lot of time by working for you in getting you one step closer to owning your new home. Realtors are trained to implement goals in their timelines by taking you through each step of the way of the process of buying your home.
You can reach your goals by yourself or you can use the help from someone that is either a relative, a close friend, or a professional in any business field to help you get there.
