On July 11, 2009, Saturday the Largo Recreation, Parks, & Arts Department is giving you a something-FREE day to play starting at 9 a.m. There will be something FREE at some locations. Click here to view the locations and for more information.

Largo Community Center

65 Fourth St. NW

9 a.m., auditorium, Kelly Christensen, aerobics demonstration; 10 a.m. auditorium, Barb Fletcher, line dancing; 10 a.m. Room 2, Tutterow Dancers; 10 a.m. Room 3, Balloon Spectacular; 11:15 a.m., auditorium, ice cream social and movie.

Highland Recreation Department

400 Highland Ave.

9 a.m., Highland Program Expo, Uptown Clowns; 10 a.m., Largo Skate Park, skateboard lessons and Heart of Largo Fruity Cones demonstration; 10 a.m., Bayside Gymnastics demonstration; 10:30 a.m., Kim Jackson Youth Karate demonstration; 11 a.m., Steve Pica Dog Obedience; 11:15 a.m., Nancy Hills Zumba; 11:30 a.m., Luke Scheffert Boot Camp; 12:30 p.m. Ms. Diane's Tumbling.

Southwest Recreation Complex

9 a.m., flag football demonstration; 9 a.m. Heart of Largo Smart Snacking; 10 a.m., free drop-in tennis; 10 a.m., Group fitness orientation followed by group fitness workout; 11 a.m., kickboxing and martial arts; 11 a.m., coaches pitch baseball; 11:30 a.m., women only kickboxing; 12 p.m., Cardio Kickin' and Zumba.

10:30 a.m., U.S. National Synchronized Swim Team water show with autograph session to follow.

4-6 p.m., half-off admission.

Largo Golf Course

9 a.m., putting clinic; 10 a.m., chipping clinic; 11 a.m., putting and chipping clinic; 9 a.m. sunset, Green Fee Special, buy one, get one free.

Largo Central Park

101 Central Park Drive, Shelter 3.

9 a.m., native plants and landscape workshop; 10 a.m., garden pond workshop; 11 a.m., a walking tour of the trees of Central Park; free tree give-away throughout morning.

Largo Cultural Center

105 Central Park Drive

9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Ongoing events including aerial dance demonstration with BB's Dance Factory, "Party Rock Like a Rock Star,'' with a backstage tour, costume dress-up with photo opportunity and video on center's offerings.

Bayhead Complex

375 Seminole Blvd.

9 a.m., volleyball; 10 a.m., basketball; 11 a.m., corn toss; noon, overview of athletics department activities .

Northeast Park

4630 East Bay Drive

9 a.m., hockey; 10 a.m., soccer; 11 a.m., basketball; noon, hockey.
