Removing Vines from Stucco walls in Merritt Island, Florida

I 'am going to be painting the exterior (stucco) of a large two story home in South Merritt Island, Fl.
I've already pressure washed and where ever these vines had grown up the wall the roots of the vines are still there. I used my Millwuakee heat gun and a wire brush and that worked great! . I got rid of the vines. After the initial pressure wash, I came back about 2 weeks later and pressure washed them again w/ the green tip. I think they dried out after the 2 weeks, and came right off.
