South Beach Florida | Day 8 on Blog Tour USA

Captain's Log - 7/8/2007.... the Blog Tour USA RV pulled into South Beach Florida on the busiest and possibly hottest beach day of the season so far. Ocean Drive was BOUNCIN'... and spinners were SPINNIN'...the Cafe Cubano was ESPUMATIN'... man it feels good to be a gangster!

I met Joe while he was outside stretching his legs and chatting up the locals. The thermometer on Ocean Drive showed it was 105 degrees!... but it was a HUMID heat so we had to head into the RV.

I was the first guest as I had been chasing them around since they drove through Palm Beach County!

collageLet's put it this way... these are some nice guys. They know their stuff and so did all the other people that joined us.

I met some great people... had some great conversations... did a video interview or two... and enjoyed some great tips with the guys.

Who was there?

  • Peter Santiago of Santiago Labs
  • Gerald and Trisha Posner... two local celebrities, authors and all around great people who I had a lot in common with.

hi david!

thanks so much for driving down to sobe to meet with us. meeting you was a real delight. the miami heat sure was ridiculous and i'm really surprised we didn't all melt :) as a fellow dad, i really appreciated our baby talk. hey, i know that moms have a moms club but do they have a dads club for us?

we just arrived in naples florida and are getting ready to call it a night.....tomorrow is a busy day - we are meeting with people in naples, cape coral, and then tampa st. pete.

I see where the confusion came in aside from the names we are both successful writers, willowy redheads and from what you have said about Trisha, nice people too boot :-)  I think I would have been confused as well LOL

Ines - glad you got to have fun with them... what type of tatt did you get?  I heard you get 1500 pts for getting activerain tattooed on your body ---and 2000 if it is a place you can show

I hate to say I missed this bus.  I was driving a different kind of bus, actually a Boeing...lol.  I am glad you made it though and I will have to catch them sometime in the future.
