Naples Sales Surge

Many of our buyers when they arrive are often surprised to find just how busy our real estate market has been lately. I think they expect to see food lines and halted construction. In fact, our real estate market is booming! Forbes recently featured an article noting that The Wealthiest Buyers in America Prefer Naples Over Any Other City in the United States.

Our area was hit really hard but much earlier then the rest of the country. So, it is only logical that our market starts to come out of the slump earlier as well. Sales started slowing dramatically in 2006 and prices took a nosedive in 2008. In the last year, buyers have been able to take advantage of basement prices and prices have started a slow recovery while sales have spiked.

Take a look at the two charts below. They are strong indicators of a healthy recovery. The first chart shows just how many closed sales we have had by quarter. The second chart shows 4 straight quarters of price increases.
