ACLU vs Pace High School

Just a little background, Pace, Florida in the mid 90s was selected as the fifth best town for raising a family in part because per capita it is the most churches. Well in my opinion the ACLU could have chose a much easier target. But according to a leading source, they chose Pace because as one person put it if they could break the bible belt then the rest of the state would just roll over.

So the ACLU brought a law suit against the Board of Education to stop any and religious activities on or away from school property. The law suit went on to say that because the school used a church for one of their functions, the board was promoting Christianity in schools a violation of church and state.

After a time of trying to fight the suit the board agreed in part that they had broken the law. The reason the Board of Education rolled over frankly is because no one not even the board has the money to fight the ACLU. So the board agreed to no allow pray in school or have any functions in religious locations.

What the ACLU was not counting on was the fact that these kids are god fearing people. Pace High School students have started all kinds of bible studying groups, praying at all school functions including sporting events. At a recent baseball game, the high school players held hands at the pitchers mound and was joined by the opposing team to pray. The school function that the ACLU was so against (something similar to prom) but held at church will have the largest attendance ever. Oh yea the kids decided everyday that they will meet at lunch in the GYM to say the blessing before going to the cafeteria to eat.

The ACLU has gotten in such an uproar that they are trying to get the principal fired and saying the school is in violation of a court order.

What if schools across the country decided they have rights also.

Americans have had our rights slowly taken away by the minority, because we stand by and do nothing.

Charles, Stories like this give me hope, Thank YOU

If we don't have someone fighting for the non-prayerful and the non-Christians, no one will. Then it's just a matter of how long before THEY come for YOU!

Russel: How ironic that you ended your post with that line after muttering something about non-Christians. Do you have any idea how offensive that is? Happy you are a Christian, but there are millions of Americans that are not.
