Great informaion on Pembroke, I love seeing that snow.
Missy,
Yes...we do not get to see it much here other than the man made...but it does stay cold for the evening.
Linda,
It really snowed here back in the early 70's...I was actually down here watching the snow melt at 4am at the airport on my way back to NY...I was very young then:)
I remember taking our daughter to the event with all that snow..reminded me of when we lived in NY. Nice job!
Ah, see Neal.....there you go and very nicely done, too!!!
I was going to Florida Southern for my freshman year and lo and behold there were snowflakes in the air one time that year. Most of my friends there had never seen snow ever in their lives, so that was a first for them. Needless to say, it didn't stick to the ground, but it was in the air that one time....
Great job on the events in your area. (King!)
Ann
Thanks Ann...not as colorful as the last...but sometimes you can only go by what you have.
When we live in Pines we were at lots of those events...
Neal...Thanks for your comment on my recent AR post. Hope all is well in Broward.
G
Neal, I'm keeping that snow date in mind for the kids. They miss the real thing and have never let me forget it!
Geno,
And thanks for stopping by mine as well...peace to you in your area!
Maggie,
Being originally from NY I sometimes miss the snow. We probably will be stopping by again this year.
Neal.. I have a friend who lived in Pembroke Pines for 5 years and loved it... I will admit I cracked up the first time I saw her yard and pool covered with netting...
Thanks Kaye..I'm trying to write more toward localism since I service Pembroke Pines and lived there for 8 yrs. I have listings there and like the area...I also cover most of Weston as well. and moved there in 2005.
There is a lot of homes for sale in Pembroke Pines and Weston...so there are lots to chose from if you are looking to buy here.
They throw a bunch of snow out there to play on? That's pretty neat.
I didn't realize it was localism feature until I saw the amount of member comments. Yes... snow is a nice place to visit but I would rather stay here and have it in the warmth!
Neal in another couple of months we will happily send you some of our snow as long as you come and shovel it out of my drive way ....... LOL
George,
Don't worry...I saved some in my freezer for a rainy day...My old home was a corner house and I bought my own snow blower. I gave it to the neighbor before I moved. No use for it here I guess and it was expensive. Maybe I should have saved it for this event and put it on display:)
Neal...this is such great information that I think you could have broken it up in to at least 3 separate posts, one about holidays and events, one about Pembroke Pines and one about the theatre. Great info!
Diane,
I'm trying to concentrate more on localism posts...the last one I did was similar in format. It must have been pretty good and this one seemed ok ...but I found out later that they were both featured in localism so I must have done something right and it was rated prertty high too...Bu there will probably be another post from each around the holidays...I'm thinking of some ideas...but thanks for stopping by!
