The Paradise Coast Blue Way is now open - Also-Goddess Night in Down Town Naples

Kayakers heaven

The first phase of the new Paradise Coast Blueway, Collier County's Paddling Trail is now open. A divine network of paddling trails along the beautiful coastline leads kayakers and canoers on a breath taking journey from the giant cypress trees and preserves through the mangroves and out to the edge of the Gulf of Mexico.

Phase 1, the Ten Thousand Islands section of the blueway, begins in Everglades City, at the northwestern tip of Everglades National Park's Wilderness Waterway trail, and ends at the village of Goodland on Marco Island.

Six day trip trails as well as one long trail route in Phase 1 area available.

By 2011, once Phase 2 and 3, are completed the Paradise Coast Blueway will provide routes through the northern border of Naples in Collier County in Bonita Springs to the 10,000 Islands.

This event for women only celebrates the creative,
goddess-like aspects of the female mind, body and spirit with an
evening devoted entirely to empowering and enriching women.
Panels of experts will conduct interactive presentations and
roundtable discussions on topics such as managing finances,
caring for aging parents, making positive life changes,
decorating for parties, appraising art and antiques,
health and stress management, and interior decorating.
A silent auction will also be held throughout the evening.
Tickets prices are $85.
Proceeds will benefit the NAA's scholarship and education programs.
