26 Famous Words
It's the most famous verse in all the of the Bible, and for good reason, John 3:16- a twenty-six word parade of hope: beginning with God, ending with life and urging us to do the same. It's brief enough to write on a napkin, yet solid enough to weather tow thousand years of storms and questions. What if these words of hope could change your life forever? Join us at The Sanctuary on Easter as we explore the promise of John 3:16!
I Katina Hargrove will be teaching the 5 year old.
Thank you for your time and presence, it will change your life forever.
Sincerely,
Katina Hargrove

About
The Sanctuary is a church about people - everyday people, from all walks of life, who are learning to experience life in a whole new way.
Living in today's world presents us all with many challenges. Our desire is to help individuals and families learn to confidently face and overcome those challenges. We believe that God wants that for all of us, and He is eager to offer His grace and strength to make that possible for everyone.
Throughout the various ministries found at The Sanctuary, we are encountering God's grace in an extraordinary way. Understandably, that experience changes us. We're not perfect...just the opposite in fact. However, we do strive to live life differently...the way God wants us to live. We find God's plan for our lives in the Bible - His Word given to all of us.
Jesus taught us in the Bible how we can gain freedom from our sins and experience a new kind of life by trusting in Him. Having accepted this truth in our lives, we are becoming more like Jesus as He gives us strength and power to live each day. As we grow in our faith, we also gain new insight and wisdom to deal with the very real challenges of life.
The new life we share brings us all together as a people of common faith and experience. In short, we are a family. We join together in worship, prayer, learning, ministry and fun. Our church family is important to us, and we support and encourage one another, like a real family should.
The Sanctuary is a place where you can experience new life, make new friends, and become a part of a loving church family...it's a church you'll learn to call home!
Please take a few moments and get to know us. On your left, you will find links to what we believe, our core values, our vision and our staff.
Our Vision
The Bible describes the church as a community of faithful believers committed to serving Jesus Christ. The vision of The Sanctuary is to be such a community, expressing the unique personality and ministry perspective that God has given to our local fellowship. The following statements describe the distinctive community of faith God is calling us to become.
A Transformational Community
The Sanctuary will be a community of believers embracing a culture of transformation. We will value and facilitate God's transformation of the whole person (spirit, soul and body) through an openness to the dynamic movement and leading of the Holy Spirit in all areas of ministry planning and process.
A Community with Values
A community's values drive its decisions and actions. We will clearly define and communicate what we value as a local community of faith. Our ministry decisions, planning, programs and budget will reflect our community values.
A Purpose-Centered Community
With the belief that God has given his people five basic purposes (worship, service, outreach, fellowship, discipleship) to fulfill on the earth, we will center our lives and ministry upon them. Our organizational structure, ministry goals and strategies will reflect our commitment to accomplishing these purposes.
A Worshipping Community
We will always deeply value the intimate worship of God in our fellowship. We will seek to lead all people toward the deep worship of God through increasingly diverse styles, forms and expressions.
A Missional Community
We will be a community involved in accomplishing God's mission on the earth by recognizing and fulfilling our individual and corporate ministry callings. We will move beyond mere words and maintenance, and be a action-oriented, missional community.
A Diverse Community
We will be a community of believers that reflects the cultural mosaic of the greater Orlando-Daytona Beach area. We will seek to reach out to all peoples. Ministries to various cultural and ethnic groups will emerge in our fellowship as God guides us.
A Community for All Generations
Our future will be characterized by ministry to all generations, with every generation being valued and included in our community. The importance of reaching emerging generations will shape our ministry styles and approaches, while also offering quality ministry programming for all ages.
A Community of Multiple Locations and Styles
Our calling is to be a regional influence for God's Kingdom. In the future, we will fulfill this mandate by establishing additional worship venues with diverse worship styles. We will be one community of believers, reaching this region in multiple locations.
A Large Community of Smaller Groups
The Sanctuary will be a large community of faith, comprised of many smaller ministry groups. Lasting friendships, authentic Christian care and life-development will be experienced within these community groups.
An Educational Community
The Sanctuary will continue to value every facet of education. We will provide holistic life-development opportunities for every age group. We will also operate our pre-school, a covenant-style Christian school, and a bible and ministry training center.
A Community of Teams
The Sanctuary is committed to a team-oriented approach to ministry. With this approach, our community of faith will maximize our effectiveness in ministry by encouraging every believer to participate in regular missional activity.
A Community of Leaders
God has called us as to be a community that identifies, develops and releases Christian leaders into all walks of life and ministry. We will seek to provide environments and programming to equip leaders of all generations to explore the limits of their potential.
A Community with Influence
The Sanctuary is destined to become a community of faith that influences its community and the surrounding region for God's Kingdom. We will seek to express this influence through community involvement, media ministries, conferences and other means as God provides the leadership and resources to do so.
What We Believe
Our beliefs are based upon an honest and sincere study of God's Word. The Sanctuary is a Church of God congregation, in full agreement with its teachings.
The following statements are an expression of our core beliefs.
We believe in the Bible as God's only inspired, inerrant and authoritative revelation of Himself to man in written form (2 Timothy 3:16,17).
We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons: God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit (1 John 5:7).
We believe in the deity of the Lord Jesus Christ (John 1:1), His virgin birth (Matt 1:18), His sinless life (2 Corinthians 5:21), His miracles (Acts 10:38), His vicarious death as the only sacrifice for the sin of the world (1 John 2:2), His bodily resurrection from the dead (Luke 24:39), His ascension to the right hand of God as our intercessor (Hebrews 4:14), and His future return in glory, first to rapture His church (1 Thessalonians 4:16-18) and second, to establish the kingdom of God upon the earth (Revelation 20:6).
We believe in the finality of Christ's mediatorial work for the redemption of humanity and the present freedom of access to the Father (1 Timothy 2:5; Hebrews 7:25).
We believe in the new birth as the only means of receiving eternal life. The new birth involves a cleansing and deliverance from the penalty and power of sin. It is effectuated through faith in Jesus Christ and repentance from sin (John 3:3,5,7; Ephesians 2:8,9; 1 Peter 1:18-20).
We believe in divine healing for the total man, spirit, mind and body and that this healing is accomplished in the redemptive work of Christ on the cross and appropriated in the believer's life through faith-filled prayer (Isaiah 53:5; Matthew 8:17; 1 Peter 2:24; James 5:13-15).
We believe in the baptism in the Holy Spirit as an enduement of power for all believers (Acts 2:4,38-39; 10:44-46; 19:1-6; Ephesians 5:18). This baptism results in a deeper expression of spiritual fruit (Galatians 5:22,23), a greater growth in Christ-likeness (2 Corinthians 3:18), a genuine manifestation of spiritual gifts (1 Corinthians 12:1-11), and a more effective prayer life (Romans 8:26, 27).
We believe in the process of spiritual development (sanctification) wrought in the believer's life by the Holy Spirit. The growth involves daily dying to sin and living unto righteousness (Romans 6:1-23), finds expression in a holy life (Hebrews 12:24) and will be culminated at the return of Christ (1 John 3:2). We believe in the resurrection from the dead. First, the righteous unto eternal life and second, the ungodly unto eternal damnation (Daniel 12:2; John 5:28,29; Revelation 20:4-6, 11-15).
We believe in the sacraments of the church established by Jesus Christ our Lord; the Lord's Supper (Matthew 26:26-30; 1 Corinthians 11:23-26) and baptism by immersion as a symbol and witness of the new birth (Matthew 28:19; 1 Peter 3:20-22).
