From Us 27 turn east on C.R 640 South of Lake Wales. Continue south on S.R 17 through Babson Park, then turn west on Cody Villa Road.

Protected two miles of Crooked Lake shoreline, Crooked Lake Prairie has sandy trails winding trough ancient dand dunes that provide habitat for florida scrub-jays.

From Us 27 turn east on C.R 640. Continue south on S.R 17 through Babson Park. Turn right onto Hollister Road. The site entrance is located at the intersection of Wes Mann Road and Hollister Road.

Crooke Lake Sandhill is home to several endangered and threatened plants and animals. it is one of the best remaining examples of the sandhill habitat left in Polk County. A self guided brochure leads visitors along a 0.8 mile nature trail.
