Vintage Wood Antique Furniture is Making a Comeback

Vintage Wood Antique Furniture is Making a Comeback

Today most of the furniture in the market is not made with solid wood anymore, which is one of the many reasons buying vintage furniture and antiques is a great value. Lately the catalog furniture companies are copying the style from the fifties, sixties and seventies. Most of this furniture is of fair to mediocre quality, and the design for the furniture in the market now is also OK.

That's why in my opinion buying a vintage piece is a good deal. First of all you are buying an original design. Second, normally they are made with incredible woods, and the quality and the craftsmanship are great. Those chairs can have another 40 years of use without problems, whereas, I am not so sure about a new chair in today's market.

Antiko Boutique has 7 chairs in a beautiful teak wood with gorgeous design for $1,500.00. Chairs can be found there ranging in price from $550.00 up. Different styles of chairs include mid-century, danish teak and Brazilian leather and rosewood lounge chairs. Knoll cabinets, tables, lighting, rugs, tapestries, art books and various vintage objects are offered in prices ranging from $60 up to over $5,000.
