We are well into the 2009 hurricane season and so far we have seen no major storms brewing. A little more rain than usual, but that is a good thing. Trust me. Our underground aquifers are very very low.
However, in the event that a hurricane does approach our area, it is wise for you to know which evacuation center is nearest to you. The last thing you want to do is to search for it at the last minute. This is especially crucial if you live in a mobile home or RV. Even those that are solidly tied down are unlikely to survive a direct hit. So do not take any chances.
If you live in Pasco County, Florida you can click on the following link and see which centers are the nearest ones to you. If you need directions to any of them, just click on each school's name to find out how to get there. To see the Pasco County list CLICK HERE. You can also find links on that page that can help you prepare your home and get your family ready for a major storm. As they say, "better safe than sorry".

Let's hope we have a mild hurricane season this year. Rain yes! Violent storms, no way!
