Condo Association's - are they for real?Condo Association's - are they for real? My most recent deals have been at the control of the condo associations...What a NIGHTMARE!!!

A deal is a deal...most of the time you have to give them 3-4 weeks for approval, but what happens if it takes 6 weeks or more? The seller's are irritated, the seller's agent is [being a nightmare] apparently in need of funds b/c she is being nasty....

So, I'm reasonable. I understand that sometimes there are unforeseen circumstances that occur which do not involve the buyer or seller or the contract...it may involve issues with the condo association or their members.

Most recently, the purchaser was waiting on condo approval and the President of the association had a death in the family and couldn't sign off on the deal.

The seller's lawyers were very understanding and were very cooperative. The seller's agents were being nasty. The sellers agents have been difficult from the onset of the deal. Perhaps they are so desperate to close this deal b/c they need the money that they have really not represented their buyers appropriately.

I'm not sure, but I have to tell you, if the President of the association had a death in the family, I sure would not bother this person and try and work with the buyer and seller and give this person some latitude.

Wouldn't you?
