REALTOR RADIO SUPERHERO VOWS TO HELP 1 MILLION HOMEOWNERS

Big 810 AM · Central Florida Real Estate Show · Saturdays 4-5 p.m. · Starting Aug. 28

(Kissimmee, FL) - Imagine for a moment a man is flying through your neighborhood wearing a bright red cape and gold leotard, just as you are outside looking up wondering if there is any way to save your home from foreclosure. Kissimmee Realtor Paul Antonelli is claiming to be a superhero that will help homeowners get out of trouble. On Saturday, Aug. 28, Antonelli will begin hosting the Central Florida Real Estate Talk Radio Show on the Big 810 AM radio station with a vow to help one million homeowners.

The Central Florida Real Estate Show will broadcast on Saturdays from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. in the Orlando area on 810 AM Radio and will be live online at www.big810am.com.

Antonelli can claim to be any superhero, but he knows the proof will be in the help he gives to listeners. Antonelli is promising to be an advocate and information champion for one million homeowners in Osceola and Orange Counties. Although on average homes in the Orlando market are selling within 85 days of being listed, which is better than the national average, homeowners still need to know how to list their home and ensure specifically that a short sale will be successful. Short sales depend on the lender signing off on the sales price, and if the short sale does not follow specific criteria the bank can refuse the offer.

"So many people have told me other real estate representatives have told them it is impossible to short sale a home or that foreclosure will happen before they successfully short sale the home, but the truth is if a realtor knows how to get a short sale price approved and hire the experts necessary it can save a family's livelihood," Antonelli said.

As a realtor with Coldwell Banker Ackley Realty, Antonelli has watched hundreds of people ask for help to avoid foreclosure and most of them have been given bad information about what they can do. To make sure homeowners are armed with accurate and trustable information, the Central Florida Real Estate Show will boast two additional Orlando-based experts including Colleen Mitchell, a Wells Fargo Mortgage Broker, and Charles Castellon, a real estate and foreclosure attorney.

Antonelli said, "It is my goal to make sure homeowners know what road to take before they make any decisions, because the wrong decision could cost you. For example, if a home goes into foreclosure and the bank sells it for less than is owed, most people are completely unaware that the bank can still come after them to pay off the rest of the money even if it is already foreclosed."

Orlando's real estate market is strong, but home values are still falling. The average sales price of homes from June to July of this year fell nearly 4.5 percent. In July 2010, there were 2,387 sales with only 740 of those sales being traditional or by the owner. During that same month, 69 percent of all real estate sales were for Bank-owned and short sale listed properties in the Orlando market.

The Big 810 AM Radio Station prides itself on being one of few stations in the country that promotes local experts to become radio talk show hosts and advocates for the community just like Antonelli. The Central Florida Real Estate Radio Show is happy to be part of the Big 810 AM Radio family and looks forward to helping Floridians by arming consumers with sound solutions for their homeowner challenges.
