Yesterday I attended BLOG ORLANDO at Rollins 
College. I found out about this wonderful event from Toby Bloomberg of Atlanta, GA and the Diva Market BLOG. I meet Toby because of the Laurie Manny Challenge....
Toby -- Thank you! Wow!!!! What a day!
And to think had Laurie Manny not challenged me to reach outside of my comfort zone I would have never known about this wonderful event in my own backyard!
There are several communities throughout the country starting to run these gatherings! The day started at 8am with registration and we finished around 5:30 with a full schedule of events! So if your community has one, get involved! Not only did I learn during the sessions but from the interactions between sessions.
They proudly called this an unconference. What is an unconference? Well it was about the structure of the day. The presenters did not present as much kept the dialogue going.

Thanks for sharing what you've learned and though all points I will study and find an answer to I believe that the "conversation and building trust" plays such an important role to bloggers here, there and everywhere. I will continue to look out for your posts to see what you're learning along the way....so I can grab some too!

How much discussion was on videos? The next frontier in blogdom for 2008.
Scott -- There was a whole session of video, which I did not attend because there was a conflicting session on Business Blogging. The real focus is on creating the conversation and an open dialogue. The impact of the Social Media sites might have a greater impact in 2008 moreso...
Just when I was feeling a bit down after reading all of the latest blogs on the AR vs Move.com fiasco you were able to pick me up and get me focused on the future...which is still very bright and exciting. Thanks so much!

Colleen I do not think I have heard of any conferances like that being held here in Connecticut. I will have to do a Google search and see if I see any.

George -- Let me know if you find one.. Philadelphia, The Carolinas have had events and they are starting to pop up all over the place. The wonderful thing was Teri and I were the only REALTORS that attended! It was the best of the best from Marking and PR Firms.
George and Cyndee -- thanks about the photo. Neal has been telling me for months to change it... I think Inez took it of me at the AR gathering, but then again who knows cameras were going off the whole time-- it is a close up of me from a shot of Chris Elizabeth Griffith and myself at the Orlando Gathering!

Great concept, and I'm sure that it benefits all of the attendees to see how people in different industries are using blogs. BlogWorld Expo will be here in Las Vegas just before NAR.
