Free Workshops for First Time Home Buyers

If you are a First Time Home Buyer and thinking about navigating the seas of Home Ownership here in the Greater Tampa Bay area, fret not as your local community has a program tailor made to ensure you have smooth sailing on gentle breezes, as you enter the waters of home ownership.

So you are interested in purchasing a home,you have some resources offered by Consumer Credit Counseling Service (CCCS) of Central Florida and The Florida Gulf Coast, Inc. Their goal is to help you turn your dreams into a reality.

They have several free classes offered this month

• Hernando County - Saturday, October 20, from 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. at Kennedy Park Lorenzo Hamilton Community Center, 895 Kennedy Blvd., Brooksville, FL 34601
• Hillsborough County – Saturday, October 6 and Saturday, October 20, from 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. at 208 South Hoover Blvd., Suite 200, Tampa, FL 33609* Class taught in Spanish.
• Pasco County - Thursday, October 11, from 6:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. at Pasco County Commissioners Office, 7530 Little Road, New Port Richey, FL 34654.

They will take you step-by-step, from contract to closing, through the home buying process. You will learn what it takes to qualify for a mortgage, how to save for a down payment and even provide information regarding down payment assistance. Then when your ready to start your search you can give us a call and we will take you on the next step of your journey to home ownership.
