A licensee in good standings who is a member of the U.S armed forces is exempt from license renewal provisions during active duty and for six months after discharge from active duty. The armed forces exemption is valid, assuming the service member is not actively engaging in real estate practices during the exemption period. This is another example of an ineffective license.
