Sunday Reflections - A Day by the Sea
For many people, home buying takes a back seat over a long holiday weekend such as Thanksgiving. Visiting with family and friends, holiday preparations, football, and of course Black Friday shopping madness are keeping people busy so this is the perfect time for us to slip away for a few days.
Living in Florida means living in a wonderful place that others consider their vacation destination. Getting away is not difficult to do nor does it need to involve traveling for hundreds of miles. We are so fortunate to have all those wonderful places within just a couple of hours drive from wherever we may live in the State.
We just returned from the East coast, having spent a long weekend in Daytona Beach. I've always loved going the beach especially one where the ocean roars with waves crashing onto the sand. Maybe it's because I grew up in the Northern parts of Germany close to the North Sea.
The power of the sea always amazes me. An eternal surf with powerful waves that are ever changing, cresting with white caps and running out on the sand foaming, the sound drowning out the noise of the man made world. The Atlantic Ocean certainly does just that!

The power of the sea for me has such a calming effect. I can spend hours just walking on the beach, listening to the sound of the waves, the occasional cry of a gull, watching the pelicans in graceful flight formations.

The sound of the waves - it fills your ears and clears your mind, leaving no room for distractions, allowing your thoughts to soar high in the sky.

A day by the sea lets you forget the little everyday worries and inconveniences. With a clear mind, you discover solutions for problems you didn't know you could solve. There is always more than one way to arrive!

Did I mention I love spending time by the sea? Hope you enjoyed the day as much as I have!
