Relativity Theory...

We are taking 2 days of our quite busy schedule to go south. There is Art Basel in Miami this weekend and this is a huge cultural annual event. We went there once for this event, but this was 4 years ago, so we are ready for a short fun and a long drive.

I had a warning from my car that there is a lamp malfunction. So, we are in the parking checking the lights and fluids before the drive to Miami.

My wife is in the driver’s seat, and she is turning on the light, and my son checks if there is a problem. Yep, but it is just a bad contact. We also want to make sure the brake lights work, so my son is behind the car and he is asking my wife to push the brakes.

And I can’t believe my eyes. She hesitates which pedal to push. Two pedals turn to be too many for her. And me asking (she said I was yelling, but when she does not like something, she always says that – LOL) whether she really could not figure which the brakes is, simply added more confusion…

Don't get me wrong. If she is driving and needs to brake, she would do all the right things. But when asked to push the brakes... well, that was something very different, very theoretical, hence, challenging.

And this is the same lady, who is constantly questioning my driving. Even after me working as a limo driver in New York and in Orlando for a few years … Of course, I am not as good as I was then, but still, I at least know that I am not the only one on the road…

Go figure…

P.S. BTW, she is driving. She thinks that she is a good driver. If this is true, it is by grace of other drivers on the road.

I guess one of her accomplishments was getting a ticket for slow driving… She pissed off the police officer, who could not pass her… He said she was blocking the traffic. She still insists that she was moving…

She made the judge laugh… he let her go…
