Hernando County REALTORS to meet with Legislators during Great American Realtor Days 2012
Hernando County REALTORS are once again gathering to travel to Tallahassee to meet with their Legislators during Great American Realtor Days 2012.

The legislative session in Florida is held early this year because of redistricting thus Great American Realtor Days are also held earlier this year than in previous years.
Florida Realtors from across the State will converge on the State Capitol, Tallahassee, on February 14th and 15th to share their views on legislative issues that concern the real estate industry and homeownership.
Pending legislation and issues that concern Florida Realtors this year include property insurance, mandatory septic tank inspection requirement, local business tax issues, and property tax relief as outlined in Amendment 4 that among other provisions includes a 5% assessment cap on non-homesteaded properties.
Great American Realtor Days are two days during Florida's legislative session when Realtors have an opportunity to make their opinions heard on legislative issues.
Typically, legislators come out to speak to Realtors on the steps of the historical Capitol building. Below, Florida Governor Rick Scott is pictured as he spoke to attendees of Great American Realtor Days in 2011. Realtors will also meet in smaller groups with their respective representatives in breakout-sessions.
