Agents, the market is bad...but what are you posting???

The market appear's to be bad, but what are you posting...

I have read a lot of the blog's that have been posted in the last hour or so...what are you all saying...

I'm not sure I'm liking what you are posting here...I mean geeze...

Get a grip. Realize what is going on, Adapt to this situation...

I wouldn't want some of you as my seller's or buyer's agent...I would want someone who is in control of their life, their lifestyle, their passion. Not like some of the post's I've just read...what are you people thinking...then posting them everywhere???

Hey, I love my job, I love my customers, buyers and sellers. I'm not going to scare them off with some of the ludicrous posts I've read tonight...at least if you are frustrated...keep them in AR, don't post them to Localism...geeze, again...being angry with your profession is not going to get you business.

Post's as I've read...will probably put you "out of business"...what are you thinking??? Geeze any why would you post something like that?

Are you over Real Estate, if you are...send me your customers....they deserve better than some of the stuff I'm reading on here....

http://www.KarenMonsour.com, Hey call me anytime...I love Real Estate, I'll help you buy or sell! And it will be easy!

Karen, I haven't been on tonight and don't know what you saw...but you got the preach in you sister.. Hope they are listening.

Thank you GF.  I mean. geeze...what are they thinking Ginger?

Hey, Happy Holiday's to you two! Glad to have you guys as friends...I'll be in PA 12/20 - 12/27 to be with my Father and family...just need to do it...I'll have my phone and lap top...you know us,,,can't leave home without the lap top...

Thanks!

I agree TOTALLY.  My market is FANTASTIC.  I have 29 listing and four just went under contract.  I believe some agents only like real estate when its handed to them.  We have to flow with the changes and be positive about the market we have.  Be honest...but positive.

I don't know what you've been reading but it sure seems to have lit a fire under you.

Vangie, Your my newest best friend...You go!!! We do have the flow, we are the postive agents, we are honest, postive and we will survive. Thank's for posting...I'm going to add you to my referral list.

Happy Holidays my new friend! K

I couldn't agree with you more.  My year has been great and I continue to do well.  I, like you, LOVE this business!

You are so right on.  I love Real Estate.  I really wish that these sour agents would go ahead and get out now, so the rest of us who love this business can start rebuilding the agent image.  It's these agents who give us all a bad name.  YOU GO GIRL!

Like I said a few weeks ago, "If the industry is so bad - GET OUT!" There are two types of people (in this scenario) TAKERS and MAKERS. Takers TAKE orders and makers MAKE deals. If people want to TAKE phone calls and TAKE orders they need to TAKE their license off the wall and go to Wal-Mart where they are in great need of sales associates to make sure the purses and gloves are stocked.

Same here.  This is a sample of the blog I posted earlier.  I stay up till three in the morning ...

After you guys finish here join me, so we can re-energized our comrades.

Karen:  apositive attitude and hard work goes a long way.  My day started at 7am after getting 5 hours sleep and i'm now on the rain while downloading a pdf at 2:50am.  WORK PEOPLE WORK!

Karen I don't know who is slow but I am showing properties today 2 of the 4 we wanted to see just went undeer contract. Showing properties on Saturday to a diffrent buyer. Listing a wonderful cashflowing duplex on Saturday. Have a buyer that we are setting appointments to view 8 homes. Christmas is a busy time for me this year.

There sure is a lot of ranting going on. It could be that AR gives agents a release...

All the best and MERRY CHRISTMAS!

There are dozens of reasons something won't work.  All it takes is one reason that it will.  Great post!

Gee, Karen, we've been reading different posts!  I am reading about all the successes and how busy the agents are right now.  It's so nice to read those posts.

Carole,

What are you reading...would love to see it.  I'm in PA visiting my family...just checking my email on my son's computer...

Thanks for posting.

Mike,

You are right just keep it positive!

Charles,

ranting, lolol

Carole, Mike, and Charles, that last post was from me Karen...didn't realize I was logged in under my son.

I'm waiting to see someone call you a troll...as seems to be the case whenever anyone on here suggests agents are whining & sub-par on performance. Do the job, love the job, or get out of the job...it's easy enough, but they want the money even when they don't want the chosen profession & associated hard work. The slackers make more money as a realtor doing subpar work & somebody else mops up their probs. Anywhere else, they'd be fired!

Karen,

good post, I am always hearing how terrible the market is, If you want to sit back and wait for the business to come to you, Keep waiting, I am up at 5 am and go to bed at 1 am, I am proud to say I have personally closed in 2007 55 sales.  in an area of over 3 thousand agents. Go figure!

I guess you can call me a workaholic, but I HONESTLY & TRULY love being a real Estate agent and love working with the public, I am a chatter box, I love speaking to anyone and everyone I meet. I pass out business cards as if they were photos of my kids.

It's a passion I have and will never give up.

and if you get any business from this post for NJ, send them my way. <smile>

Julie and Sam,

It's my opinion and I'm sticking with it. Thanks for the support. You are both so right with your posts...

Ken,

How right you are...thanks for posting.  Happy Holidays,

Jeff,

I think many people are afraid of the word "work"...but that's what it takes.  I'm in PA visiting my family and just got two more new leads via cell phone calls today...we never vacation...some of us...can't help it...

Charles,

Real Estate relief! Thanks for posting and Happy Holidays to you as yours.

Pattie,

Thanks for your comments.  I was at the annual "Boat Parade" here in Fort Lauderdale and met a few nice people.  They asked me what I did, "I said, I'm a Realtor(R)." They said, "Oh, I'm so sorry!"  I said, "Don't feel sorry for me, I'm happy busy!" Her draw dropped to the floor...

Amazing the attitudes...Happy Holidays!

Matt,

Thanks for posting, hey Happy Holidays! I'm in PA until Thursday pm....

RIGHT ON Karen! Totally agree with you, great point, I want you as an associate blogger. I am subscribing to this blog and I think everyone should too.

Hi, I am retooling and even now I am seriously looking at what area in real estate I must excel at. Thanks for the general kick in the pants

Lance,

Thank you so much! Glad you are enjoying my blogs...Glad to have you!

Happy Holidays!

Val,

Everyone I have met over the Holidays seems to think negatively about the housing situation.  When I say I am doing well, they get a generalized warm fuzzy feeling and a smile on their face...and they comment, "Oh good"!

I agree that those kind of blogs should not be posted on localism, people get enough negative information from the media.  I am actually very busy and I think it's important to work hard and stay positive.  Good post.

Stop whining and start shining.  The market is what it is.  I often wonder why most agents are in this business.  Negativity will never cut it with me.

Patricia and Jeff,

Thanks for posting.

I am on vacation. Got 3 new buyers the day before Christmas and two more today. I have talked to other agents today and they are seeing improvement as well...

Keep your chin up and as Jeff said, Stop whining and start shining.
