Change is Good

We would like to announce Miamism Team's new home - Majestic Properties.

It was time for a change, a change that would compliment not only our business and marketing style, but a change that would benefit each one of our clients individually.

Majestic Properties and MiamismColdwell Banker was good to us and we are the first to admit that, it offered a strong corporate backing that Rick and I were used to with our prior corporate lives as an architect and accountant, but there were also limitations and we had to think past our personal comfort and look into the future of our business as well as the type of service we offer our clients. (in other words.....the decision was by NO means easy).

Because Miami Real estate has changed, so has the way we conduct business in a way that benefits you, our client, even in a down market. We have learned that this business is not so much about us, but about you. We still hit the streets the same way as before, but we also blog and are very active in the social networking aspect of the Internet. We have had to think outside the box and use the tools before us in way no one else has, putting us at the forefront of the industry. (I know, I know....tooting my own horn is not polite). Majestic Properties will not only support our new methods, but welcomes them and will help us customize marketing strategies one client at a time and expose ourselves to every new marketing medium available to be able to offer better service.

We found a company that will compliment our style. Majestic Properties is a respected full-service real estate organization that focuses on providing the highest level of service by employing cutting edge resources. Talk about a match made in heaven!

They have an amazing reputation in South Florida, with beautiful high design offices in the Design District and Miami Beach; and in 2006, INC 500 Magazine ranked the company fastest growing, privately held, full-service real estate company in the United States.

Majestic Properties successfully identifies industry trends in residential and commercial markets, incorporates cutting-edge technological tools, hires passionate and dedicated agents and staff and plays a prominent philanthropic role in the community. It boasts an internal Advertising and PR agency, a one-stop marketing shop for Majestic agents and clients. Additionally, Majestic helps customers from all over the world with financing and mortgage, and then there's an interior design team and furniture showroom. From real estate to marketing to financing to design, Majestic Properties offers it all.

We also have a new Miamism Team member! Karen Alvarez, who, as our buyer's agent, will compliment our growing business and help us provide even better service. Karen is known in the industry for her superior business ethics and outstanding customer service.

Making a change is never easy. It was especially difficult for us because we did not want our customers to be affected in any way. We are looking forward to using all the positive energy we are getting from to help our business expand to the next level.

Congratulations guys. . .I'm happy you found a new home that suits you and a new team member to help you grow even more!

Rick& Ines,

Best of everything in your new location! Hope to see more of you two soon.

You guys are DA BOMB!!

Lenn - that was really sweet, I love Zennias!

Missy - it's been INSANE, but couldn't leave the news out of AR - I may not be here that often, but I really Love hearing from everyone.

Lori - it's just the beginning of great things to come.  The whole point is to welcome change and keep good energy rolling.

Lynda - Thank you!! Funny thing is that we are still working from home, but the change is HUGE!  (and I am around, I just lurk)

How exciting Ines! I'm sure your move will turn out to be fabulous...not only for you and Rick but for all your clients and customers.

Miamism's Majestic Properties - I like the sound of that!!! Congrats and of course you guys are an ASSET where ever you go! Wishing you a smooth transition! :)

Congratulations on your new home! Can't wait to hear more about Majestic Properties. Love the clip - internal Advertising and PR agency AND interior design team and furniture showroom. Cutting edge.

Ines & Rick, thanks for keeping us updated and I'm sure that this will be as good for your clients as it is for you. Love the name...Miamism's Majestic Properties, not try to say that 3 times fast! You are both great so you will be an asset no matter where you go.

Monika - thank you!  We think so too (there's still a couple of clients on limbo right now, but that should be solved quickly)

Cyndee - that's funny! I had not even thought of "miamism's majestic properties" - we need those "smooth transition" good wishes for sure!

Debbie - the marketing team has already met with me twice and already have signage, business cards and have managed to help me blend Majestic's brand with ours.  The PR person has managed to write a fantastic bio and is on top of press releases and providing news to the local media and the furniture showroom is icing on the cake - from modern classics to a team of unbelievable interior designers.....super cool company.

Wow! I got a star! thank you! I remember now what those used to feel like! :)

Hey Gena - say it three times fast and with my Spanish accent and you will roll on the floor laughing! :) (thank you for your sweetness)

Glad to hear how good things are coming to you!!

Cool.  It seems that change is in the wind these days...  I'm in the midst of one, too.

(07/01/08 09:37PM) — Joan Whitebook, ABR, e-Pro, CEBA

Congratulations -- It looks like a good fit for you and I wish you all the best. This is certainly going to be an exciting change.  Good luck.

Jeannette - without a doubt - thanks....and you are not doing bad yourself! :)

Lane- may it go as smoothly as ours is going - change is tough, but when it feels right, everything will go your way.

Thank you Joan - and hopefully we will radiate our excitement to everyone around us.

Congrats and good luck on the change, Rick and Ines! Does this mean we'll be reading about Majestic-ism soon?

John, that is hilarious!! I can already tell you that we will see a lot of "majestic-isms"!! LOL

What a coincidence, I have been with Coldwell Banker for the past 10 years and our Company made a decision, much the same as your's, that the time had come to break away.  Exciting, we are now primed to focus on the demands of our own area, providing exactly what the local market needs.  Today was our first day as an independent office, which we were way back when before joining the franchise.  Those fees will now be targeted to our own web and local presence.  I wish you the best of luck with your change and anticipate that ours will also prove to be a great postive.

Congratulations on your move, wish you both the best!

(07/01/08 10:56PM) — Dan Nappi

Hey Rick and Ines, Congrats on your decision and good luck with your new change.

I saw this coming from a mile away when your old company promoted the "Blue Light Special".

Congratulations on the move.  Perhaps we'll change the name to the Miami Majestic Mortgage Rates Report

(07/01/08 11:13PM) — Jeff Dowler ~ Carlsbad Real Estate

Congratulations, Ines (and Rick). Sounds like an excellent choice. Best of luick with your business going forward - we expect to hear great things.

Jeff

Congratulations on what looks like it's going to be a successful and profitable move for you and your clients. Your excitement is contagious =)  Good luck!

Beth - Best of Luck to you!  We started with Coldwell because of the name and the name was beneficial to us for quite a while.  Once that name started loosing power and was no longer important, then the corporate stuff was too much trouble to deal with - Congrats on your Independence! and still as a CB office.

Teresa and Dan - Thank you for taking the time to wish us luck!

Brian - you are just TOO perceptive!!  :)  "Miami Mortgage Rates Report" are just fine, don't you dare change them! LOL

Jeff - expect to keep hearing great things ;)

Ines - Good to see you.  Congratulations on the move, I made mine in November.  Change can be good, and I am glad you found an organization that works for you.

Rick & Enes....  Congratulations on your changes!  Change for some people is difficult at best, but I find it amazing just how much change is rewarding in its own.  Best of luck, great things will happen when you remain positive.

All the Best!

Cheron Lange

Jennifer - I hope KW is working out for you and you would definitely know how difficult it is!

Michael - it's all about attitude adn you are right, remaining positive is a big part of it.  Thanks!

Lisa - OMG, I can't believe I almost missed your comment! You have no idea how contagious my excitement really is - people are commenting about it all over the place and it feels GREAT!

Fantastic! Congratulations Rich and Ines.  I know that you will make this move a success like everthing else you do. AJ

All the best with making the move. Even for all the best of reasons it is still a challenge to move, ie changing the license, business cards, all the Internet stuff, etc etc. Takes a lot of time. All the best with everything.

Congrats Ines, Sometimes making a change is so hard but once you get going & and you feel it that it was the right move - its such a great feeling.

Congratulations Ines & Rick- change is a good thing.  It keeps you sharp and competitive and moving forward- best wishes for a successful transistion. They are lucky to have you both!

Good Luck and Sell Well!

Good luck with the move.

Hey AJ - thank you! - the move feels right and it feels good

B & C - what you mention is the easy part (IMHO) - challenge is preparing clients, coordinating listing expirations and communicating to the sellers - I will write about the experience in a couple of weeks at Agent Genius (when I find a little time and everything settles down)

Steve - right on!!

Allison - awww! thank you....you are very sweet.

Neal - It already feels right - thanks.

WooooHooooo!  You folks will do great....and it does look like you fit right in so comfortably!

Hey Sally - I miss your "woooo hooooo's" - thanks!

Congratulations on finding such a perfect fit.  With your creativity and talent I know you will have even greater success in an environment that offers you the freedom and support you desire!

Hi Diane! if the environment is inducive to greatnes......we have a great future ahead - thanks

Ines.... making a change is never easy, no matter how good it might be.  Just the work and effort to make the switch and to notify your past clients can be a pain. And your current clients... let alone, getting use to a new company and new people, no matter how friendly and coroperative.  Wishing you and Rick the best of luck.

Dear Ines and Rick,

I am so delighted to hear that you've made this move. As oneof your top fans in the area, I know this is going to be great for you both. I am not familiar with Majestic, and yet I know you've done your homework and it is the right fit for you.

Lots of good luck to you, and some good things are happening in my area, and hopefully I'll be sending you some of my friends.

All the best,

Lois

Hey Jeff - yes you mention a few of the challenges, but our clients is not one of them because they trust our judgement and they have always hired us for us.  Thanks for the encouragement though, it's great to know we have friends in the blogosphere.

Hi Lois - thanks so much for coming by and sending good wishes our way, it means a lot to me.  We have great things cooking with Majestic and have been awaiting the change with child-like excitement.  You know where to find us if you ever need us.

Change is definitely good and I'm sure your move to Majestic Properties will prove to be a good one!  Good luck in all of the transition!

(07/03/08 06:10PM) — LLoyd Nichols~SW Florida Homes

I am sure that your decision to make the move to Majestic Properties is not something you did in  a whim. When ones becomes more experienced, you look for a company that fits more your style, your needs and your vision then the other way around.Happy Transition!

Patricia - thank you! thank you!

Lloyd - what's amazing is that a lot of people start out with mega companies and never leave because it's too much trouble (whether the company fits their style or not).  I think brokerages are changing and rightly so, but those that remain rigid are the ones that will see the real change!  Happy 4th to you!

(07/08/08 10:21PM) — ARDELL DellaLoggia

I happened on this while watching the tile videos.  I loved the one with the kids doing the black stained tiles.

Good luck to both of you at your new company!  We'll talk at Inman.

Thanks Ardell - I can't wait to hang out and talk

Hi Ines, good to hear that your career move with Majestic Properties is your new home, it will be a positive one just it did for me. Welcome aboard!

Hi Diana! it was so great to receive the Majestic Memo announcing you joining as well!! (funny how things work out, no?) - we went to our first meeting in the Miami Beach office this morning and the energy was fantastic!  I am sooo psyched with the change.

Oh yes, how ironic right? it was a great career move for me as well, I love it here, the agents, Aireen is so helpful, I just love the concept of the company and plan to be here for a while. I will see you in one of the meetings. Have a nice day!

Ines - The company sounds very interesting, not your typical broker firm.  I'd be interested in hearing more about how it enhances the skills that you and Rick bring to your clients.

Thanks Gail!  I'll keep you posted ;)
