ACORN Housing - Anyone (in Mortgage) Hear of this Yet?

I just got something from Bank of America on ACORN (Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now) mortgage solutions.  This could be good news, and I want to hear it!

PLEASE join the group "THINK POSITIVE - Market Reports for the LOA-Minded", and post the upsides of these new programs!  Here's what BoA had to say:

ACORN Housing Corporation Program Features:

 

• No mortgage insurance required
• No minimum loan amount
• After minimum borrower contributions are met, remaining expenses may come from a variety of sources including Bank of America approved down payment assistance program (DAP)
• Flexible underwriting guidelines
• Homebuyer education required
• One-unit properties, condominiums, townhomes and cooperatives* homes are eligible
