"It's Not Dead Yet!" The MySafeFlorida Program Rumored to Be Gone...

That's right, if you were planning to get the State of Florida to "Show Me the Money", it's still not too late!  Here are the facts about the MySafeFlorida matching grant program:

• If you were hoping to get a FREE home wind inspection--IT's NOT TOO LATE--they were ending June 30, 2008, but apparently there's enough budgeted to take more applications, about 10,000 of them, in fact.
• If you had hoped to get around to upgrading your hurricane-prepardeness status on your Homesteaded property, and thought you might apply for a grant, but haven't quite done the paperwork yet--TOO LATE.  No more applications are being accepted for the matching-grant program, although Florida's CFO would like to see a continuation of the program.
• If, however, you've already applied for your grant money, existing applicants will continue to receive distributions through May of next year.
