What the SWAP?!

WANNA SWAP??

HOUSES??

There are a lot of weird things going on in this market... but TRADING HOUSES is definitely a new one for me!

On the website CareToTrade.com you can trade almost anything... like the guy that traded a paperclip all the way up to a house!!

Well... supposedly this technique has caught on in South Florida. There is demand out there for people to move here... and there is growing demand for people to leave (I can name a few I wish I could demand they leave! hahaha)... so now the middleman is being cut out and people are just trading houses!

The first page of the real estate for sale or trade section has "listings" in:

• Rotonda West, FL
• Spring Hill, FL (Sheri Ann Johnson - Spring Hill is not on Localism! you're the featured agent!)
• Davie, FL
• Hollywood, FL
• Cape Coral, FL
• Boca Raton, FL
• Punta Gorda, FL

Am I missing something? Is it just plain too easy to say "Hey let's do it this way?"

Or... is this the wave of change that is going to allow people who are relocating to exchange houses just like Kate Winslet and Cameron Diaz did in the movie The Holiday ?... but OWN, not borrow?

ps... to all Florida Active Rain Members... MOST of those cities listed need updating on Localism!
