2008 Broward Luxury Real Estate Market Report
Ft. Lauderdale
is known as the "Venice of America" as
well as the Mega Yacht Capital of North America. We are a City of
islands held together by Rivers, 300 Miles of Canals, bays and
waterways hundreds of
miles long. Many Fort Lauderdale residents and visitors enjoy boating
in their speedboats, enjoying a fishing charter, spending a day at the
Beach, or cruising the
coastline by Yacht.

Real Estate Market Report.
I typically wait until at least the middle of the following
month
to report in order to, hopefully, allow for all of the previous month's
sales to have been recorded in the MLS.
Of course, we know that price
alone doesn't truly define "Luxury", but for my
monthly Broward
County Luxury Real Estate Market , I review
homes that sold at final purchase prices of $1,000,000 and above.
During the month of August, in Broward County, 33 Single Family Homes
sold at final
sales prices of $1,000,000 and above. They sold at final purchase prices
(NOT LISTING
PRICES) between $1,000,000 and $4,000,000. Click here to view their pictures and details (if

The $4,000,000
Home sold is a direct Oceanfront Home with 100' of Atlantic Oceanfront
located in the Lauderdale Beach Subdivision, Ft. Lauderdale's only
DIRECT Oceanfront Subdivision of Single Family Homes.
Of the 33
homes sold, 17 are Homes with Ocean Access. These
homes are located in Davie, Ft.
Lauderdale, Hallandale, Lighthouse Point, Parkland,
Plantation, and Weston.
The 33 homes sold are located in the Subdivisions of Bay Colony,
Bermuda-Riviera, Coral Key Villas, Coral Ridge Country Club, Cypress
Head, Eagle Run-Weston Hills, Golden Isles, Harbor Beach, Hawk's
Landing, Heron Bay, Hillsboro Isles, Las Olas Isles, Lauderdale Beach,
Lighthouse Point, Long Lake Ranches, Northstar Estates, Pompano
Waterway Estates, Rio Vista Isles, Stilwell Isles, Stonebrook Estates,
The Landings, The Retreat, Victoria Highlands, Victoria Isle, Victoria
Park, Westridge, and Windmill Ranch Estates.
