WOW!! I can't believe what I have been seeing over the last few days regarding mortgage interest rates.If you are in the market to buy a home or refinance your current mortgage please look at these current rates as of 12/18/2008.
Conventional 30 year fixed rate- 4.625%
FHA 30 year fixed- 5.125%
USDA/Rural Housing- 5%
Remember that USDA/Rural Housing is a Zero Down mortgage with NO PMI!
These are amazingly low rates that won't be here for long. By the way when I say, "won't be here for long", I am guessing that rates will slowly creep back up as the economy stabilizes.
