This was a seminar I attended today at the Jacksonville Veteran's Memorial Arena from 8am to 5pm.

It had a star studded line up.

1. Steve Forbes (President and CEO of Forbes, Inc.) - His topic was "Business Skills"
2. Zig Ziglar (America's #1 Motivator) - "Motivation"
3. Rudy Giuliani(America's Mayor) - Perseverance
4. Tamara Lowe (Top Sales Training Expert) - "Sales and Negotiation"
5. Gen. Colin Powell (World Famous Soldier-Statesman) - "Leadership"
6. Laura Bush (Former First Lady) - "Special Guest"
7. Terry Bradshaw (Legendary NFL Hall of Fame Quarterback) - "Competitiveness"

This was the order they actually appeared in.

I have seen Zig Ziglar many times but this was the first time I had seen him since his accident. It left him with an equilibrium problem so his daughter stayed with him on stage the full time. It evidently affected some of his memory retention. He spoke for a short time but was escorted back to a seat and they played portions of speeches he has done in the past. On one hand I hated to see him not as I remembered. On the other hand, I really gave him credit for still performing on stage. His daughter said he will be 83 this week.

A group of employees from our company, Davidson Realty Inc, went at the expense of our broker. I want to thank Sherry Davidson for supplying the tickets.

My partner, Carol vonRabenstein, and I, Ted Tyndall, went and sat with a good personal friend, Rob Fleischmann, that is a VP of SunTrust Mortgage. I want to thank him for allowing us to tailgate with he and his wife.
