Winter Wonderland 2008

The NEW St. Augustine Amphitheatre offers great events such as concerts and movie nights for the kids through out the year. However, now thru January 4^th it is transformed into a Winter Wonderland.

Admission is FREE (we love FREE events) and each evening you may enjoy:

• Snow - yes, snow....Florida's Blizzard is presented twice each evening.
• Elf Village - See where Santa's little helpers live and
• Lighted nature Trails
• Visits from Santa

For a small fee you may:

Real ice skating - skate rentals and lessons are available

• Ice Slide - Speed down 100 feet of Ice
• Ride a Horse drawn sleigh thru lighted nature trails.
• Live Theatre - "The Quilt Maker's Gift" is presented Friday and Saturday evenings
• Reindeer Games - Test your skills with Polar Pong, Candy Hunt, Alpine Toss and Elf Zone.

Of course Holiday Shopping is available. Featured artisans offer unique products and spectacular holiday decorations. A variety of holiday treats are also available, such as ht chocolate, apple cider, homemade cookies and fire pits for s'mores (my favorite!)

For a few weeks during the holiday season we will be fortunate to enjoy a White St. Augustine Christmas. I can't wait to lace up some skates and get out on the ice, trying to remember to ice skate, feel the snowflakes on my cheeks while drinking a mug of hot chocolate. But, most of all, I look forward to seeing the residents of St. Augustine and their visitors having fun, meeting up with old friends and making new ones.
