A trek through the Central Florida Zoo & Botanical Gardens can be an unforgettable experience! The Central Florida Zoo is located in Sanford, Florida, just North of Lake Mary and Orlando.

Enjoy viewing some of the most rare and elusive species of wildlife from all over the world, including Amur Leopards, Elephants, Cheetahs, Spider Monkeys, Hyacinth Macaws, Alligators and Crocodiles, King Cobras, and even the Kookaburra!

The zoo recently introduced an alligator and crocodile viewing deck, with a new exhibit -- a rare black caiman. Visitors are also introduced to spiny plant sculptures, and educated about how plants protect themselves in the wild.

There is something for everyone in the family!

The Central Florida Zoo is a great place for the whole family to relax and have a good time, while they are being entertained and educated! The zoo organizes many educational programs designed to help children to develop an interest in the animal world, and to realize the importance of biodiversity.

You can get close to the Asian elephants Mary and Maude on the weekends. You can also feed the goats, llamas, and the new member of the zoo - a miniature Zebu!

The Wharton Smith Tropical Splash Ground will be opening soon and kids will be able to have fun with water dump buckets, fountains, and even a spitting alligator!
