The Euro, the monetary exchange designation, has soared to new heights! This helps America with her exports. It also helps Americans sell their properties if the Europeans know what we have to sell.
That's why I focus my website to introduce the Florida panhandle to my 'European Connections'.
Currently, you need about 1.38 dollars to buy a Euro.
Not too long ago, you could have bought all the Euros you wanted for around 80 cents.
So, it is very clear that our European friends should have the means to buy our expensive properties, if we can just get them interested!

I agree it is an untaped market that most realtors don't consider. Where do you advertise for the European market?
Well Robert - you have it. The exchange rate is sigificant to buying property. We certainly experienced it here in the Okanagan resort areas when our Canadian dollar was low compared to US. We had a lot of American property investment at that time.
Yep - Robert - We have noticed already in Eastern Canada the new presence of European / British buyers. With our recent surge in our currency, they are the only foreigners who can afford property here. The Americans stopped coming years ago.
Robert,
Thank you for making us more aware that there are other worlds in our our world. The Euro continues to accomplish the goals it was meant for- the unification of the European countries, the standardization of the different currencies in Europe and the ability to deal as a unit with other economies on an equal basis.
Marie Kletke - Your are so correct in your assessment and it does my heart good to find others who understand the economic relationship between Europe and America.
Bonsoir Paul Viau,
Come to think of it, my Canadian friends don't complain nearly as much as they did about the prices in America. In fact, many Florida Snowbirds are from Canada.
Hello Eric Olson,
Thanks for your comment. I visited Paris and contacted several French Real Estate and Financial firms. Those I felt good about, I linked them to my website, www.rmonk.com. Check my site and the link page. Especially, look a the WARF link. They are very interesting.
