More Pending Home Sales - fueled by foreign buyers
Fueled by foreign buyers and distressed sales, pending home sales in Southwest Florida rose as much as 40% compared to last year.
In July, pending home sales in Miami-Dade County stood at 10,113, up 40.5 percent from July of 2009, according to figures released Tuesday by the Miami Realtors.
About 60 percent of those sales have gone to international buyers.
For local buyers the main obstacle is the lack of financing. International buyers usually do not rely on financing as much as local buyers and are used to bring cash to the closing table.
So if you are planning to sell your house make sure that your home gets the international exposure it deserves.
