Skip Trowel textured ceilings are getting popular in Brevard County, Florida

I've been doing skip trowel for about 15 years here in Beautiful Brevard County,Fl. It's very similar to a light stucco finish. It's done by hand and I use a 12" knife and a hauk.
That's how we do it here in the Melbourne,Fl area. But, The name "skip trowel" is a regional thing. It can be a totally different texture depending on where you are located around the United States.

After applying the skip trowel texture, it is necessary to prime and paint the ceilings after they have been skip troweled.
