For a long time it's been nearly impossible to purchase a home or condo as an investment rental and have positive cash flow on these properties in Tampa, FL, but with prices continuing to decline and more and more people losing their homes to foreclosure (and therefore needing to rent), this is all changing. It's a fantastic time to purchase rental properties and the ROI should be much greater than the other standard investment venues such as stocks and/or bonds or CDs. The stock market is very volatile and even though the real estate market is much more unstable than it used to be, real estate still has a "real" value. Pleople need a real place to live (rent), they do NOT need a piece of paper showing how many shares of a company they have.
